The American School Counselor Association has designated the Hiram High School Counseling Program as a Recognized ASCA Model Program. The RAMP designation recognizes schools that are committed to delivering an exemplary school counseling program that is comprehensive, data-informed and aligned with the ASCA National Model framework. Research findings indicate fully implemented school counseling programs are associated with a range of positive student educational and behavioral outcomes.
Mission
The mission of the Hiram High School Counseling department is to provide access to comprehensive academic, career, social and emotional support to all students. Our unwavering support is unbiased with an emphasis on cultural competence and high expectations for all students. HHS strives to foster a safe and orderly environment where all students will acquire the knowledge and resources to become lifelong learners who advocate for personal and community success. This will be done through the implementation of the ASCA National Model and in conjunction with a data driven program. The counseling program strives to be an integral part of the overall school success.
